Listed below in brief are the most prominent SSA services.

Marketing

SSA Marketing Services compliments the activities of individual yards, by maintaining an on-going relationship with key customers & brokers, passing on news from UK yards about new techniques, R&D, complex jobs, designs - indeed, those positive aspects of a vibrant industry which might be of interest to a customer.

This includes the Ministry of Defence who consult the SSA on such matters as the capacity & capabilities of UK yards to build, repair & maintain the RN Fleet; and who take a particular interest in SSA's performance improvement and R&D programmes.

SSA is a founder member of the Marine Export Partnership, bringing together the expertise and knowledge of SSA, the British Marine Federation [BMF] and the Society of Maritime Industries [SMI] to address the broad needs of the industry.

The Association is also a founder sponsor of the SeaTrade London Maritime Convention and a regular exhibitor at the ShipRepair & Conversion Exhibition.
