The Planning Act requires promoters to consult with local authorities before preparing their Statement of Community Consultation. Local authorities have a crucial role to play in working with promoters to help them to understand the local community and how best to undertake the consultation.
This conference will provide a guide for both project promoters and local authorities on the consultation requirements and how to engage with local communities to ensure a fair consultation.
