The Shipbuilders and Shiprepairers Association (SSA) represents UK companies engaged in all aspects of building ships of all sizes, converting them for other uses, repairing & maintaining, supply equipment to them and ultimately in disposing of them. The membership is very diverse from Europe's largest shipbuilder to key industrial suppliers, SME's, essential elements of the maritime supply chain, consultants, sub-contractors and academics providing and representing a rich diversity of interests.

- Active identification of and highlighting contract opportunities to members
- UK Marine Health, Safety & Environment Group - managed by SSA
- Assistance and guidance with Quality control and assurance issues
- SSA Shipyard Defence Interest Group
- SSA presence at key Exhibitions e.g. Workboat (Glasgow), SeaWork (Southampton), SMM (Hamburg), Cruise & Ferry, Ship Repair & Conversion and DSEI
- Up to 50% off UK, European & ISO Standards Documentation
- TSB and FP7 funded UK & European Research & Development programmes
- Networking with other Countries & Industry Sectors
