An operational offshore energy course, providing training in the efficient running and successful delivery of offshore renewables projects, has received industry recognition from the Renewables Training Network (RTN).
The Client Representative Course, run by Offshore Marine Academy (OMA), has received the ‘RTN Recommended’ status, highlighting the academy’s ambitions to meet training demand as well as to close the skills gap within the industry.
Running throughout the year at OMA’s training facility in Teesside, UK the course is available to offshore professionals seeking expert client representative training and certification to assist them in taking the next step in their career.
The course has also been undertaken by onshore personnel working within the industry that require an in-depth understanding of the role of the offshore client rep.
Antony Lewis, Business Manager at OMA said; “With the renewable energy sector experiencing rapid growth, a shortage of skilled workers and a lack of training opportunities could put the sector at risk, which is why we have recruited leading experts who are able to offer their experiences and insights.”
All courses at OMA, which range from introductory courses to operational and technical, including cable engine driving and procurement and construction are carried out by professionals with first-hand experience of working within the offshore energy industry.
