NDI conferences have an established record of regularly bringing together more than 250 suppliers, buyers and key decision makers including government and the MoD.

NDI Conferences offer a unique chance for UK businesses to learn, network and ultimately win business.

The 2012 Building for Growth Conference, which took place on the 13th and 14th March in Bristol saw leading experts from the defence, aerospace, space and security sectors come together to discuss opportunities for SMEs to engage with these sectors and the role these key sectors have to play in the economic recovery and included presentations and speeches from Lockheed Martin UK, BAE Naval Systems and ADS.

Following feedback from NDI members and non members, NDI are pleased to be holding a special one-day opportunities conference in Glasgow specifically geared towards Scottish businesses to meet and sell to key buyers, decision makers and programme managers from the Aerospace, Space, Defence, Security and Marine Industries.

Boeing, Bombardier and other Prime /Tier 1 suppliers will present and discuss forthcoming business opportunities open to Scottish businesses and attendees will be given the opportunity to understand the current and future opportunities associated with major projects and activities in these key sectors.

There will also be a an opportunity for businesses to increase sales and win new contracts through pre-arranged face-to-face meetings with buyers at a meet the buyer style event held in the afternoon.

David Townlsey, Executive Director of NDI said: “We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from our annual conference in Bristol from both delegates and speakers who found it was an unparalleled opportunity to openly discuss the issues affecting supply chains and explore new opportunities to supply and increase sales.

“As a great deal of our members are based in the North of England and Scotland we wanted to provide these businesses with the same great opportunity to come together, discuss, learn and access new opportunities to supply projects in Scotland, the UK and Internationally.

“The conference is being held in a fantastic venue and we have a number of major prime contractors presenting and discussing opportunities for SMEs to engage. It will be invaluable day for Scottish businesses seeking new opportunities and for businesses from outside the region that are looking to access Scottish, UK and International market opportunities.”
