Project Manager
We are looking to employ a new Project Coordinator to develop, promote and support our R&D activities. The project manager will focus on building the SSA Innovation and Research capability and will engage with our members and clients across Europe. The job offers a unique experience to learn about the marine, oil & gas and renewables industries in a range of technical and business fields with extensive travel throughout Europe.

Job Description
The Project Coordinator will manage current SSA projects and support efforts to create or secure new business. The major tasks would be in delivering project objectives; liaising with project partners and industry players; and helping to secure future funding by developing project proposals.
The job also includes close liaison with policy makers in UK and Europe and interaction with the European marine, oil & gas and renewable industry. There will be a high level of travelling within the UK and Europe.

Qualifications & Experience
You should be qualified to degree standard, ideally with relevant industry experience, in an Engineering discipline such as Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture.   In addition to your technical skills, you will be able to think laterally, have a flexible outlook and be driven by an attitude to win work to foster business success. You should be disciplined, tenacious and able to work with a high degree of independence. The ability to build relationships quickly with new and existing partner organisations will be important for realising the continued success of SSA in new and existing markets in the UK and Europe.
The selected candidate must be eligible to work in the UK and travel throughout Europe.

Salary & Benefits Package
The salary will be in the range of £26K - £32K per annum. The position is initially offered on a full time contract. The package will be structured to attract and retain a suitably qualified and motivated individual. Please apply with a CV and covering letter (by post or email) to:
