Hamburg-based Hoppe Marine presented products in three major areas of focus at this year’s SMM in Hamburg.
It focused on fluid management, motion control and ship performance in order to stake its claim as a leading data integrator on vessels as a precondition for Smart Shipping and Big Data.
Marc Rohde, managing director and proprietor of Hoppe Marine, said: “Approximately one of every eight new ships build in the world is already equipped with at least one of our systems.”
The company now has more than 150 employees, 100 of which in Hamburg where the show took place. Others operate in Busan, Shanghai and Szczecin.
“We can offer our customers intelligent retrofitting solutions, which provide the added benefit of transparency and efficiency,” explained Mr Rodhe.
It showcased its bunker management software which has been tried and tested on Hapag-Lloyd container ships and will now be installed by CP Offen.
Mr Rohde concluded: “Hoppe Marine is thus presenting itself as the leading data integrator on board. Our software is not only precise and reliable; it can also cooperate with a wide variety of downstream analysis systems.”
