Tender for VTMIS technology for port traffic

Mon, 27 October 2014

A local company is planning a bidding process for new technology in Ports of Brazil regarding Vessel Traffic Management Information System.

A local company responsible for state ports is looking for new technology in Brazilian ports of Brazil in order to actively monitor maritime traffic. The goal of the system is to increase the safety of life at sea, safety of navigation and environmental protection in the areas where there are intense movement of vessels or risk of major accident.

Through the Growth Acceleration Program – PAC, the government has an objective of creating conditions to reduce operating costs and increase the efficiency of ports, enabling effective meeting the growing demand of foreign trade.

Only companies established in Brazil will be able to register to participate.

UK companies involved with Port Management Systems should keep their eyes open for this bid.

If they are not present in the Brazilian market, they should consider partnering with a local company in order to be able to participate.
