Maritime and Innovation Brokerage Event 2015

Mon, 16 November 2015

Following the successful editions in London (2010, 2011) and Santiago de Compostela (2012, 2013), the 2015 edition of the Maritime and Innovation Brokerage Event (MIBE) took place in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

In a rapidly changing world the future of the maritime industry largely depends on a successful implementation of new technologies. The European Framework Programmes for research and innovation has always been a fertile ground for the realisation of such new technologies. Also the next round of calls for proposals under Horizon 2020 have been published and contains a great variety of opportunities to initiate new projects.

MIBE 2015 has provided an overview of these opportunities and gave a strategic insight into the state of play of the industry, the achievements made in running projects and new initiatives like Vessels for the Future.

More than 150 professionals from the European maritime community attended MIBE 2015, which provided the ideal place to share R&D opportunities, meet experts on Horizon 2020 and find opportunities for cooperation with European partners.

SSA assist in the preparation and submission of proposals and are looking for possible technology ideas and partnering opportunities.
