National Maritime, the maritime network for industries influenced by the sea and waterways, and the SSA, the voice of the UK marine industry, serve and support members to help them grow and increase business.

Membership to the UK’s maritime cluster – We support businesses from our UK maritime hubs in the South and North. Membership includes shared access to and benefits of the UK’s leading maritime organisations, National Maritime (NMDG) and the Shipbuilders & Shiprepairers Association (SSA).

Members receive priority booking on all exhibition or sponsorship opportunities.

Access to UK government and maritime advisory bodies – We give all of our members a voice in the industry. We work in partnership with government and maritime advisory bodies to ensure that the strategic approach to supporting UK maritime business is total, not just for the selected few or at the highest level.

Increasing International trade – We work with global maritime trade associations and maritime clusters to facilitate overseas business on behalf of our members. We assist members to establish their products and services in emerging and existing global marine industries and access funding to expand in overseas markets by participating in various international exhibitions and forums.

Free representation and working groups – We further draw on our expertise and those of our membership to assist policymakers and promote issues and interests raised by the group. Our Blue Council helps to make links between policy-makers, stakeholders and our membership to ensure government understands the views of our members to drive economic growth. Members can access focused discussion forums which have been established to facilitate joint working and to help members address key issues.

One free session of business advice – Whether you're a new start-up, an established business looking to grow or just need someone to talk to, we offer one hour of professional advice, guidance and information required to help you succeed.

Access to UK & European collaborative funding – We help our members to identify what type of funding is right for their business and advise how best to secure it, including funding opportunities through Innovate UK and Horizon 2020.

Free assistance with the development of supply chains to win new business – The diversity of the UK maritime industry provides unique opportunities for growth, within both the domestic and export markets. We work with our members to form collaborative memberships and identify the most relevant supply chains to win work. We help members to find contracts, tenders and projects.

Ongoing business advice, support and mentoring – We can continue to help you on a fixed fee basis to access a range of specialist support services to make your businesses more efficient, more productive, more profitable and more successful.

Offer unique access to our web-sites member’s area – Search for the latest business opportunities, promote your services for free within the member’s directories, upload your logo, profile and review the latest member to member discounted offers across the organisations web sites.

Use of National Maritime, SSA and Jobs in Maritime logo’s – As a member access our logos for your website, items of stationery and selected marketing materials.

Bi-Monthly e-news bulletin – Receive the latest news, events, offers and business opportunities via #maritimeconnection, our National Maritime and SSA e-news bulletin. Each new member receives a free introduction within the bulletin.

Free use of Blue Space pods – Offices to let – discounts for all meeting, training rooms, conference facilities & workspace – Located equidistance from the Ports of Newhaven, Felixstowe and Dover, less than 15 minutes from the Ports of London, Tilbury and London Gateway, and 17 minutes from the centre of London by HS1, Blue Space our maritime hub and sustainable construction centre on the banks of the River Thames, Dartford provides office space, co-working, virtual office service, workshops, training and meeting rooms and a café. Members are free to use our business pods sited within the communal areas of the centre and access free Wi-Fi.

Advertising offers for e-news bulletins and web-site – Members receive discounted advertising rates to promote their business on the National Maritime and SSA e-bulletin and Jobs in Maritime website.

Consultancy – We believe that one multi-skilled team will always deliver more focused consultations and campaigns. Maritime industries respond best to a single approach and brand experience, no matter how they choose to engage. We offer members a full consultancy service from investment, project, event, public relations and reputational risk management.

Discounted Member 2 Member offers – This is a free service available to members to make exclusive offers to other members on the National Maritime web-site. Simply give us the details of the offer and we will put it on the website for you (In the members download area). Member Offers are widely promoted on the National Maritime website, via Bi-monthly e-bulletins, raising your business profile.
