Intertek Lintec Shipcare Services, have been providing marine fuel quality and quantity measurement services, to ship owners and operators for 20 years. Shipcare’s submitted fuel sample testing programme is carried out across laboratories in the UK, USA, Singapore, China and mainland Europe. This service provides detailed damage prevention information, to assist owners and operators protect their valuable assets, crew and the environment, by providing full ISO8217 testing with expert engineering comments. A range of additional forensic investigation services also provide valuable fuel information, regarding chemical contamination and fuel stability analysis, with bio-contamination, microbial analysis and metallurgy testing adding to a comprehensive range of analytical services.
A detailed “engine and machinery health” programme, through a Lubricating Oil Condition Monitoring (OCM) service, provides Ship Owners with a regularly scheduled lubricant analysis and consultancy service, which can identify mechanical problems before they impact upon the efficient running of machinery, avoiding costly headaches at a later date.
In addition to testing, Shipcare also provide fuel quantity measurement services in approximately 250 ports across 100 countries, for both Bunker Quantity and ROB Surveys, carried out by experienced surveyors.
