Tue, 30 October 2012
Calgary, AB, Canada: AVEVA announced today that it will be a key presenter at the Modular and Off-site Construction Summit 2012, held November 8th to 9th, 2012 at the Shaw Conference Center in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Brett D Kondruk, Senior Account Manager for AVEVA, will present ’Smart Digital Design for Industrial Construction’. While digital design data is not new to modular offsite construction, Brett will discuss how enhanced integration using visualization can be a real game-changer. He will demonstrate how more effective and efficient strategies can reduce costs, shorten construction time and generate higher quality, repeatable projects for the energy sector.
AVEVA’s Executive Vice President – North America, William Muldoon, confirms, 'Many of our local Alberta customers are leveraging global modular construction which demands increasingly efficient controls and tighter integration to ensure engineers and designers based in different time zones are working together as a fully integrated virtual team. The benefits can be dramatic. We’ve seen field install costs drop by as much as 30%, delivering very rapid ROI to our customers.'
The event theme is ‘Changing the Way the World Builds’ and will provide an exciting opportunity for industry colleagues to share ideas and investigate modular and offsite construction as a viable and effective approach to reducing costs and construction times. It will also explore how to generate higher quality products and create healthier and safer environments for workers and occupants.
The 2012 Modular and Offsite Construction Summit showcases the benefits and addresses the challenges of implementing modular building technology provincially, nationally, and internationally through a series of interactive workshops, panel discussions, and information sessions.
